Social Security benefits.  Regardless of political party, these
politicians need to be defeated in 2006, 2008 or 2010,
whenever they come up for office.  They are grouped by
home state.  If a state is not listed, there was no voting
representative.

WBC and their crew of IDIOTS!

You guys know that I’m not one to push religion on anyone. I’ve always stated that i’m more spiritual than I am religious. However a friend pointed me to this site and I must say I’m Appalled! I don’t think i’ve ever been this upset by a group of people in my entire life. The group is ran by a nasty little “man” who goes by the name Pastor Fred Phelps. They have the Westboro Baptist Church and they are truly haters. They are bigots and angry sad little people in my opinion. Please check out the links Heck if you just check out one be sure to check out the Interview with Fred Phelps. Let me know what you think.

The Black Table spoke with Reverend Phelps about Mr. Rogers’ sins, the war in Iraq, and the many other reasons why God hates America.

Westboro Church Exchanges Amish Protests for Airtime

AP

A Topeka church that had said it planned to protest at the funerals of five Amish girls killed in Pennsylvania this week now says it won’t have the protest.

That comes after a nationally syndicated radio talk show host, Mike Gallagher, offered the Westboro Baptist Church an hour of airtime tomorrow in exchange for dropping the demonstration.

Now, a representative of the Topeka group will appear on Gallagher’s show.

Members of the anti-gay church says it blames Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell for the deaths of the Amish children because of comments he made about Westboro Baptist on national TV several months ago.

Rendell’s reply today when told about the group’s statement? “They’re insane.”

On Sept. 11, 2001, God Almighty revealed a small foretaste of His divine wrath against the godless nation of America in the form of the WTC attack. America didn’t get the hint, instead waxing worse and worse in her sins against God. More and worse is on the way – America is Doomed! At your peril do you ignore the warnings of the Westboro Baptist Church.

Is there any doubt our Government needs an overhaul?

Filed under: child, education, knowledge, Life, limits, Money, politics, Uncategorized, war — aprilda @ 1:29 pm

First lets start out with (Former) Congressman Mark Foley. You know he resigned when he got caught emailing with a child. Yeah and I don’t mean jokes. I’m talking Nasty talk! If that isn’t pathetic enough, Now he’s trying to get everyone’s attention off of that fact by saying he’s a drunk! OMG YOU STUPID PEDOPHILE!!! Yeah you might have had some power but it doesn’t make you any better than any other child stalker, child rapist out there! YOU DESERVE TO BE IN PRISON FOR THE REST OF YOUR MISERABLE LIFE!! The article is about the email he’s just announced the whole pity me i’m a drunk thing!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/01/AR20061001009…

Now on to the idiot we have in charge. OMG we as people are idiots as well. We put him in charge ffs. Basically there is a book that has Bush back tracking, stumbling and mumbing jibberish again! OH yeah like that’s something new for this man. YOU WORK FOR US BUSH GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE CLOUDS YOU IDIOT!

You know i’m not very political. I’d pray that those running the country I call home are a wee bit smarter than I am. however I think we’d be better off having monkeys in the whitehouse! I think the Dixie chicks made their point!

In March 2003, at a London concert, Natalie Maines comments on the war, telling the audience, “Just so you know, we’re ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas.” Ironically, the same week that controversy starts to brew over the comment in the U.S. and the group is falsely accused of not supporting the troops, they have the No. 1 country single in America with “Traveling Soldier,” a song of empathy toward soldiers and their families.

“Against the ongoing blanding out of America, a massive country star actually had the guts, for a moment, to say exactly what she thinks. … Maines’ comment stands as the boldest thing anyone in the entertainment industry has said since the war flap began….. For a moment she was the bravest American entertainer.” –Salon, March 2003, Stephanie Zacharek

Before the next election, I suggest we all search ourselves and fully understand what it is we want running our country.

Which Rights would you choose?

I was hanging new curtains in my daughter’s room today and saw this laying on her desk. I read it and thought wow this is what they are teaching our children! The United States is supposed to be a free country yet honestly I believe we have lost a huge amount of freedom already. It really got me to thinking and thought I’d share it with you and see what your reaction is. Which rights would you be willing to give up?

A Visitor From Outer Space

       You are quietly watching television with your family when a special news bulletin comes over the TV. You immediately see that this is not the normal type of news bulletin because there is what looks like a very strange creature on the screen. The only thing, which is familiar is that, he is speaking in English. He tells you that he and his people have gained control over the communications networks in the United States and that everyone had better pay attention to what he has to say. You change the channel, and just as he said, there he is on every station. He begins to speak very loudly and you gather your family around because you are beginning to worry about what he is going to do. His speech is as follows:

       “My name is sthgiR and I am from the planet noitutitsnoc in another galaxy where the inhabitants are far superior to the beings on this planet Earth. Just as we have gained control over the communications of the United States, we have the ability to take complete control over every one of your lives. We do not want a war between our planet and yours, but we do want to control some things so that we can live in peace and harmony with you. We have looked at some of your laws and the way your government operates and have found it gives too much freedom to the individual. Therefore, we are going to conduct a survey to try and arrive at a decision with which both you and I are happy. As I have said, I do not want to take everything away from you, but I can’t allow you to continue to live as you have in the past. Therefore I am giving you a list of ten of the rights, which you now have according to the constitution, You are to look over the list and decide which of the ten are most important to you. I will allow you to keep five, of the ten rights- the five, which get the most votes from all the citizens of the untied States. You are to rank the following rights in the order in which you would give them up. 1 being the one you would give up last and 10 being the one you would give up first. After you have completed your ranking you will receive further instructions.”

  • _ Right to bear arms
  • _ Right to freedom of speech
  • _ Right to legal counsel
  • _ Right to protection from cruel and unusual Punishments
  • _ Right to freedom of the press
  • _ Right to a jury Trial
  • _ Right to freedom of religion
  • _ Right to peacefully assemble
  • _ Right to privacy
  • _ Right to protection from self-incrimination

Helpful household tips!

Filed under: Uncategorized — aprilda @ 12:18 pm

How many of these did YOU know about?

A sealed envelope – Put in the freezer for a few hours, then slide a
knife under the flap. The envelope can then be resealed.
(hmmmmmm…)
============================================
Use Empty toilet paper roll to store appliance cords. It keeps them
neat and you can write on the roll what appliance it belongs to.
====================================
For icy door steps in freezing temperatures: get warm water and put
Dawn dish washing liquid in it. Pour it all over the steps. They won’t
refreeze. (wish I had known this for the last 40 years!)
====================================
To remove old wax from a glass candle holder , put it in the freezer for
a few hours. Then take the candle holder out and turn it upside down. The
wax will fall out.
==========================================
Crayon marks on walls? This worked wonderfully! A damp rag, dipped
in baking soda. Comes off with little effort (elbow grease that is!).
====================================
Permanent marker on appliances/counter tops (like store receipt
BLUE!) rubbing alcohol on paper towel.
====================================
Whenever I purchase a box of S.O.S Pads, I immediately take a pair of
scissors and cut each pad into halves. After years of having to throw
away rusted and unused and smelly pads, I finally decided that this would
be much more economical. Now a box of SO.S pads last me indefinitely!
In fact, I have noticed that the scissors get ‘sharpened” this way!
=====================================
Blood stains on clothes? Not to worry! Just pour a little hydrogen
peroxide on a cloth and proceed to wipe off every drop of blood. Works
every time! (Now, where to put the body?) LOL
=====================================
Use vertical strokes when washing windows outside and hor izontal
for inside windows. This way you can tell which side has the streaks.
Straight vinegar will get outside windows really clean. Don’t wash windows
on a sunny day. They will dry too quickly and will probably streak.
=====================================
Spray a bit of perfume on the light bulb in any room to create a lovely
light scent in each room when the light is turned on.
======================================
Place fabric softener sheets in dresser drawers and your clothes will
smell freshly washed for weeks to come. You can also do this with towels
and linen.
======================================
Candles will last a lot longer if placed in the freezer for at least 3
hours prior to burning.
======================================
To clean artificial flowers, pour some salt into a paper bag and add the
flowers. Shake vigorously as the salt will absorb all the dust and dirt
and leave your artificial flowers looking like new! Works like a charm!
======================================
To easily remove burnt on food from your skillet , simply add a drop or
two of dish soap and enough water to cover bottom of pan, and bring to
boil on stove top.
======================================
Spray your TUPPERWARE with nonstick cooking spray before pouring
in tomato based sauces and there won’t be any stains.
======================================
Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will
keep for weeks.
======================================
When boiling corn on the cob, add a pinch of sugar to help bring out the
corn’s natural sweetness
======================================
Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half, and rub it on your
forehead. The throbbing will go away.
======================================
Don’t throw out all that leftover wine: Freeze into ice cubes for future
use in casseroles and sauces ……. Left over wine? What’s that?
======================================
To get rid of itch from mosquito bites, try applying soap on the area
and you will experience instant relief.
======================================
Ants, ants, ants everywhere … Well, they are said to never cross a chalk
line. So, get your chalk out and draw a line on the floor or wherever ants
tend to march. See for yourself.
======================================
Use air-freshener to clean mirrors. It does a good job and better still,
leaves a lovely smell to the shine.
======================================
When you get a splinter, reach for the scotch tape before resorting to
tweezers or a needle. Simply put the scotch tape over the splinter, and
then pull it off. Scotch tape removes most splinters painlessly and easily.
=====================================
Now look what you can do with Alka Seltzer……..
Clean a toilet.
Drop in two Alka Seltzer tablets, wait twenty minutes, brush and flush.
The citric acid and effervescent action clean vitreous China.
=====================================
Clean a vase.
To remove a stain from the bottom of a glass vase or cruet, fill with water
and drop in two Alka Seltzer tablets.
=====================================
Polish jewelry.
Drop two Alka Seltzer tablets into a glass of water and immerse the
jewelry for two minutes.
=====================================
Clean a thermos bottle.
Fill the bottle with water, drop in four Alka Seltzer tablets, and let soak
for an hour (or longer, if necessary).
=====================================
Unclog a drain.
Clear the sink drain by dropping three Alka Seltzer tablets down the
drain followed by a cup of Heinz White Vinegar. Wait a few minutes,
and then run the hot water.

Do you remember

Filed under: 9/11, blood, children, death, fighting, hate, Life, limits, loss, pain, remember, sadness, TV, Uncategorized, violence, war — aprilda @ 11:02 am

Do you remember where you were that morning when the towers fell? I know I’ll never forget. I had worked at night shift at the Bryan County Youth Shelter and had just gotten home. I came in threw down my bags and made myself something to drink. I’d walked into my room and rolled my eyes at the fact that Al didn’t make the bed lol. I grabbed the remote and turned on the news. All of a sudden They are showing one of the towers being on fire. I remember thinking omg how horrible. So I sat there watching for a few moments. All of a sudden the news man is like airplane, then it just crashed into that building. I broke at that moment, I realized that something was horribly wrong. I called my husband and I was like Al something bad has just happened, one tower was burning and then a plane crashed into the second one, I think we’ve just be attacked. I didn’t move from that spot the rest of the day. I didn’t eat, I didn’t sleep, I just sat there almost in shock as I watched and listened to every detail being replayed over and over. By that evening I was angry, I never could change the channel for days I just watched, at work i’d turn it on so I could hear it as I worked.

I remember holding my kids and telling them that we’d be safe, that this is America and that we are a safe country. I also remember thinking yeah right look what just happened.

Our Country had to open their eyes that day. We had to realize that we aren’t the Perfect country, people can destroy us. I think it also brought the people together. I noticed people greeted you more, they were just plain nicer.

In my opinion our government has become so obsessed with money and fame that they aren’t protecting the people the way they should. Things like this will continue, we will never be “safe”. I think we honestly need to make a change in the way our country is ran. It’s like my friend Bri said, Be careful about who you elect. We need to be choosing folks more like ourselves. Also we should be deciding how much money they make because they work for the people! They need to start remembering that they are nothing more than government workers, Hell I’m a government worker and my pay sucks and I grant you I work my ass off. So what makes them so special.

Love your family and your neighbors! Take time to speak to the people you meet, help your community in whatever way you can! and most importantly remember 9/11!

Attack of the sinuses

Fall Colors

My sinuses have been HELL!! The last two days i’ve been taking lots of Moltrin and thinking I had a really bad tooth ache. So i’ve been using that nasty stuff called Anbisol! YUK!  Anyways It wasn’t till this evening that I realized it was indeed my sinuses. So now at least I know I don’t have to visit a DENTIST!

Isn’t it amazing though how something as simple as your sinuses can lead to such a vast array of health issues. When mine act up it feels as if all the teeth in my mouth need to be removed and it feels like I have an ear ache. Both of which don’t bring me joy! Seems that i’ll still have to treat the tooth aches until I can get the sinus thing under raps.

The photo above is one I did a while back. We haven’t had any rain and well it’s looking like fall early around here except for the horrible heat! Nasty thing that heat and humidity!

WWE Not A Good Role Model for Children

Filed under: blood, child, children, fighting, limits, McMahon, Money, profit, TV, violence, WWE — aprilda @ 4:18 am

You know I grew up watching wrestling my entire life. I’ve watched many a “superstar” climb into the ring and fight it out. But tonight I was disqusted by what I saw. I was flipping through when I saw the McMahons beating the crap out of “DX” by using metal bars and cords and a camera. You know as an Adult I know what’s real and what’s not, but a child doesn’t. I can guarentee that at least 1/2 of all children in Oklahoma watch wrestling.

I’ve always believed in people having freedom “artistic expression” however, I think it’s gone to far. It’s one thing to portray these men and women as Athletic and allowing them to battle it out. It’s another to have half naked women prancing around and showing little boys that you can win if you use metal poles and other blunt objects.

You know these companies have to use these tactics because without them Absolutely no one would watch them. Reason you ask It’s become so fake. I mean it’s more like a freaking soap opera. What happened to good old fighting?? It’s sad really it is!

McMahons make millions off our children eating up this crap. Is this really the example we want our children to see?
