WWE Not A Good Role Model for Children

Filed under: blood, child, children, fighting, limits, McMahon, Money, profit, TV, violence, WWE — aprilda @ 4:18 am

You know I grew up watching wrestling my entire life. I’ve watched many a “superstar” climb into the ring and fight it out. But tonight I was disqusted by what I saw. I was flipping through when I saw the McMahons beating the crap out of “DX” by using metal bars and cords and a camera. You know as an Adult I know what’s real and what’s not, but a child doesn’t. I can guarentee that at least 1/2 of all children in Oklahoma watch wrestling.

I’ve always believed in people having freedom “artistic expression” however, I think it’s gone to far. It’s one thing to portray these men and women as Athletic and allowing them to battle it out. It’s another to have half naked women prancing around and showing little boys that you can win if you use metal poles and other blunt objects.

You know these companies have to use these tactics because without them Absolutely no one would watch them. Reason you ask It’s become so fake. I mean it’s more like a freaking soap opera. What happened to good old fighting?? It’s sad really it is!

McMahons make millions off our children eating up this crap. Is this really the example we want our children to see?

  2. Look up CM Punk. He sets a great influence by his straight edge lifestyle by not driking smoking or taking drugs. It’s not just the fighting that counts.

    • I’d prefer a person drank and smoked as opposed to beating the crap out of people. Yes, I know it’s “fake”, but the violent and sexist images, not to mention that this shit is being directly marketed to children, are very real.

  3. In my personal opinion I wouldn’t look up to the WWE Lifestyle or the fighting on television, but the character portrayed. A long time ago I uses to want to be just like Molly Holly; who’s character portrayed a closer-to-normal women than the average Diva. It’s all personal opinion.
